Let the first patch decide the starting setting
The surface underneath matters at the same time. Thin metal, a worn lining and sound concrete do not offer the same margin, so the nozzle position and movement are tested with the material that must remain in view.
The return from the patch also shows whether the available water is carrying released material to collection or spreading it beyond the work area.
Inspect, adjust and then extend the clean
The site inspector or next trade reviews the patch against the finish it needs. If the result is acceptable, the provider records the working position and extends the same controlled movement across the agreed area.
A change in deposit thickness or substrate condition is a reason to reassess the setting, not proof that more pressure is automatically needed.
This trial-led approach is used in surface preparation by water jetting and when dealing with hardened tank deposits. Send photographs of the material and the surface you need to keep.
Does higher pressure always clean faster?
No. Nozzle choice, distance, movement and flushing water all affect the result. The useful setting is the one that removes the build-up without extending beyond the agreed surface.
Can one setting be used across the site?
Only genuinely similar work faces should be grouped. A different deposit or underlying surface may need another trial and starting point.
