Remote Jetting or Manual Jetting

Remote and manual jetting can both be useful on one item. The choice changes where the route, visibility or shape of the work face changes.

Who handles your enquiry?

This is an enquiry website operated by Infused Media Ltd. We review the first details and identify the jetting company offering to quote before you decide whether to proceed. That company sends the quotation and carries out the work.

Choose the position that gives useful control

The first review follows the proposed head from its support point to the work face. A dry movement test then shows where the operator loses sight, where a bend limits travel and whether the tool can come back out.

What changes the operating position

  • A clear camera view may support remote work through a straight section.
  • Direct sight and stable footing may give better control around an edge or fitting.
  • A curve, internal support or changing surface can justify switching methods part-way through the item.

Assign the method section by section

The work drawing marks where each operating position begins and ends. During the first pass, feedback at the head is checked before the crew commits to the next section.

If the camera view disappears or the carrier will not turn and return, the method changes or that area is recorded as inaccessible. Remote equipment is not sent on simply because it entered the opening.

See our remote water jetting service where distance from the work face is valuable. Complex approaches are discussed under difficult access jetting. A short access video can help the first review.

When remote equipment is workable

  • Is remote jetting automatically better? No. The tool still has to be positioned, observed and retrieved.
  • Can both methods be used on one item? Yes. The method should show the changeover point and the controls for each section.
  • What if the camera cannot see the work face? Another view or access point may be needed. If useful feedback cannot be achieved, that section should not be assumed reachable.
