Use the change in flow to locate the restriction
A slow decline may point to build-up along a length; a sudden stop after a process event may be local. Mark the suspected section and the nearest usable connections on the drawing. The provider can then discuss where a first pass should begin and where released material can be caught.
Mark the line and collection point
The line drawing is marked with the normal contents, the point where flow changed, branches and available connections. Earlier clearance attempts are added because they may have moved or compacted the obstruction.

Tracing and clearing the blocked section
The site isolates the affected line and protects connected equipment. From a suitable opening, the provider breaks down the blockage in controlled passes while watching the response.
The response at the collection point is checked between passes. If flow does not improve or unexpected material appears, the site reviews the finding before the crew moves farther along the line.
